Meet Curtis, our CORU-registered Senior Occupational Therapist at Sensory Kids. Since joining in 2015, he has supported children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), developmental delays, and learning challenges. Curtis specialises in sensory integration and is passionate about helping each child build confidence and independence through play-based therapy.

Curtis earned his Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Limerick. He is a Certified Sensory Integration Therapist (University of Southern California) and has further training in the Tomatis Method (Level 2), the Therapeutic Listening® program, Handwriting Without Tears, and administration of the ADOS-2 (Dept. of Psychiatry, Trinity College Dublin).

In addition to his occupational therapy training, Curtis has a strong background in social work and education. He holds a Master’s in Social Work from Temple University (Philadelphia, USA) and has worked extensively with young people and families. His career has also taken him abroad, including teaching English and leading youth programmes in Ukraine.

Outside of work, Curtis is a proud father to his young daughter Julia. He enjoys playing guitar, singing, and going for the occasional run!
