Where It All Started

From One Idea to One of Ireland’s First Sensory Integration Clinics

Sensory Kids was founded in 2012 by Aneta Schwieterman, who wanted to make sensory integration therapy accessible to families across Ireland. At the time, few places offered dedicated services for children with sensory processing challenges. Aneta set out to change that — creating a space where therapy felt personal, playful, and grounded in evidence-based approaches.
Since those early days, Sensory Kids has grown into a leading paediatric therapy clinic in the Dublin area, supporting children, teenagers, and adults with a wide range of developmental and sensory needs.

What We Do Today

Supporting Every Child’s Unique Journey

We focus on the assessment and treatment of sensory processing and developmental challenges using advanced sensory integration techniques enriched with vestibular, proprioceptive, and tactile inputs.
Our goal is simple — to help the nervous system process and respond to sensory information in a balanced, organised way so each child can interact with their world more confidently and independently.

Common areas we support include:

  • Sensory processing disorders (SPD)
  • Developmental delays
  • Autism spectrum disorders (including Asperger’s syndrome)
  • ADHD and attention/focus challenges
  • Dyspraxia (DCD) and motor planning difficulties
  • Balance and vestibular disorders
  • Auditory and language processing delays
  • Emotional and behavioural regulation challenges
  • Genetic conditions (e.g., Fragile X syndrome, Down syndrome)
  • Trauma- and stress-related challenges
Our Philosophy

More Than Therapy
— A Partnership with Families

We believe therapy works best when families are part of the journey. Every plan is personalised to the child’s goals and strengths, but also shaped around the support network at home and school. Through collaboration, education, and practical guidance, we empower parents and caregivers to carry progress beyond the clinic walls.

Our Commitment

Creating an Inclusive Space for Every Child

We understand the challenges families often face when navigating social, healthcare, and educational systems. That’s why we’re committed to advocating for fair, inclusive access to the support every child deserves. Our work is guided by close collaboration with neurodivergent individuals and their families, whose lived experiences shape our approach and keep our practice grounded, respectful, and continually learning.

What Guides Us

Children at the Heart of Everything We Do

Every child who walks through our doors brings unique strengths, curiosity, and potential. Our role is to help them grow in confidence, independence, and joy — one session, one success, one smile at a time.
